The benefits of yoga are many and elaborated in many books. I would like to share my experience with you.

Life is far from being a long calm river, sooner or later there always comes a time when a break becomes necessary. We need to step back to better choose the most appropriate way to take.

This can be caused by an emotional shock or a physical injury.

Sometimes the imbalances are also created insidiously, over a long period of time and bad habits die hard.

Yoga has been designed for all human beings regardless of their origin, gender, or physical or intellectual abilities. Yoga is a healing process that slowly brings back the mental and physical balance.

After a physical injury, yoga can help gain some flexibility. It helps the body not to weaken and to keep a large range of motion.

In addition, yoga regenerates connective tissues which will stimulate the healing process.

It strengthens our joints, which protects us from potential injuries.

Unlike any other practice, yoga does not leave any part of the body aside, there are exercises for all organs including internal organs.

Beyond the classic physical benefits such as flexibility or muscle building, yoga improves our breathing, digestion and sleep.

When the imbalance is mental, the benefits are just as remarkable.

By deepening our breathing, our concentration is improved.

Moreover the inhalation and exhalation that goes with each asana, helps the energy to circulate in our body, it eliminates blockages and gives us a greater sense of anchor in our daily lives.

We are simply more present and do know how to translate our will with respect towards the beings around us.

Breathing and meditation, which are both part of the yoga practice, have remarkable effects on stress and this has been proved scientifically.

What is striking and fascinating with the yogi’s behavior is his calm, his caring attitude towards each person he meets but also his inner strength, nothing seems to disturb him.

Yet yogis, like all of us, are imperfect beings with ups and downs.

Their great asset, and which in my opinion makes all the difference, is to have the tools to better manage the turbulences of life.

With these tools, the yogi finds the most accurate behavior possible in all circumstances, without being either in excess or in indifference. He finds a happy medium that ends up being part of his personality, like a reflex.

Good news: these tools are accessible to all!
